As established by Gazeta Wrocławska, the incident took place in one of the apartments in Bolesławiec municipality:
A drunk man was smashing the windows in an apartment, so the police were called.
He injured himself while smashing the windows. Therefore, paramedics were called.
Let us recall. The incident took place on March 30. As reported by St. Luke’s Hospital:
(...) during a night shift in one of the towns near Bolesławiec, a dangerous incident occurred involving an aggressive man under the influence of alcohol.
During the medical intervention and the emergency services’ operations, this man violated the bodily integrity and insulted a system nurse, a paramedic and police officers.
The facility: – As a result of the incident, the nurse suffered injuries and was treated in the Hospital Emergency Department.
The hospital stressed:
❗ We strongly condemn all manifestations of aggression against people who provide assistance. Paramedics, system nurses and public officials do their jobs to protect the health and lives of others—they deserve respect and safety.
And added:
⚖️ We remind you that, under Article 222 § 1 of the Criminal Code, violating the bodily integrity of a public official is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to 3 years. In turn, insulting a public official, under Article 226 § 1 of the Criminal Code, is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to one year.
And announced: – The case will be referred to court proceedings. Intoxication is not an excuse and does not exclude criminal liability.
