Immediately after receiving the information, the producer organized a crisis team meeting regarding the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in the product, implemented a market withdrawal procedure, informed the IFS Food standard certification body about the recall, conducted a hazard analysis, and identified corrective and preventive actions.
The distributor, Jeronimo Martins Polska Spółka Akcyjna, in cooperation with the product’s producer, began the procedure of withdrawing the product from stores and warehouses; reports from regular internal tests were analyzed.
