The incident occurred on March 9. Firefighters from Wierzbowa:
(...) our unit took part in extinguishing a fire in wasteland in Modła. Thanks to the swift response, the threat was efficiently brought under control.
They add: – We worked together with OSP Gromadka at the scene.We appeal for caution and urge people not to burn grass.
Firefighters:
⚠️ Burning grass is illegal and extremely dangerous.
Fire can very easily get out of control – threatening forests, buildings, animals and, above all, people.
🚫 Do not burn grass.
🚫 Do not set fire to branches or plant remains in open areas.
🚫 Do not leave cigarette butts on dry ground.
They add:
Every such fire poses a real threat to life and health and unnecessarily engages rescue services that may be needed elsewhere at that time.
