Criminal police officers arrested a 30-year-old man. – As officers established, the incident took place on 17 February this year, at noon, in the car park on Olimpijska Street in Karpacz – reports Sub-Inspector Beata Sosulska-Baran from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. – The victim was attacked by a man he did not know, who, for no apparent reason and out of hooligan motives, repeatedly punched him in the ribs.

The victim was taken to hospital.

After being notified of the crime, police officers began searching for the attacker. The spokesperson said: – Based on the information collected in the case and an analysis of surveillance-camera footage, they identified and then arrested the 30-year-old as a suspect in the commission of the crime.

The man was arrested shortly after the report in the case was filed.

The 30-year-old will now face court for causing bodily harm out of hooligan motives. He could face up to 5 years in prison.

Yesterday, the district prosecutor decided to secure assets worth PLN 85,000 to cover future penalties.
