The incident occurred last weekend in one of the villages in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. Police headquarters:

The perpetrators took advantage of the absence of the residents, who were attending a funeral. After breaking a window, they entered the building and stole various items worth a total of several thousand zlotys.

The same men, acting in a similar manner, also broke into a vehicle. They stole a chainsaw, documents and cash from inside, causing losses of nearly 6,000 zlotys.

Intensive operational work by Bolesławiec criminal investigators and uniformed officers from the station in Kruszyn, together with an analysis of surveillance footage, made it possible to quickly establish the perpetrators’ identities and recover some of the stolen property.

On Monday morning, the first suspect was detained – a 43-year-old man. Police secured items originating from the crime at one of the pawnshops. The following day, as a result of further activities, the second perpetrator was detained – a 32-year-old man.

Both men were charged with burglary of a single-family home and a vehicle. Additionally, the 32-year-old will be held responsible for violating a court-imposed driving ban.

The residents of Bolesławiec County face up to 10 years in prison for the crimes committed. The officers assure:
