Today, shortly after 2:00 p.m., firefighters, including those from OSP Krzyżowa, received a report of a collision involving two vehicles. At the scene, it turned out that two vans had collided near Chościszowice, one of them carrying passengers.
According to police findings:
A 46-year-old resident of Lwówek County, driving a VW Transporter, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Mercedes Sprinter. As a result of the incident, two people travelling in the Mercedes were taken to hospital.
Road conditions were difficult at the time. It was snowing, and the roadways were very slippery in places.
At the scene were two fire service units from Bolesławiec, a unit from Krzyżowa and a unit from Stare Jaroszowice, two emergency medical teams and three police patrols.
