Officers from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław and police officers from the County Police Headquarters in Kamienna Góra searched a property in one of the localities in the Lubawka municipality, in Kamienna Góra County.
– During the search, the officers seized a production line for illegal alcohol, 109 bottles containing 57 liters of finished alcoholic products, fifteen 100-liter plastic barrels and 15 glass demijohns filled with mash from which illegal alcohol was to be produced – says Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.
The property owner, a resident of Kamienna Góra County, admitted to conducting illegal production and possessing illegal excise goods.
The moonshine producer who was detained was charged with illegal alcohol production, which is punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to 3 years, or both penalties jointly.
KAS reminds:
Consuming alcohol of unknown origin is dangerous and poses a threat to health and life.
And adds:
Selling illegal alcohol without Polish excise duty stamps is a crime.
