The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 10. – At around 7 a.m., the duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters was informed by staff at one of the stores in Osiedle Świerczewskiego about the dangerous behavior of one of the customers – said Sub-Inspector Sylwia Serafin, press officer for the local KPP. – The man allegedly threatened the sales assistant with a knife and a telescopic baton and demanded that she hand over cigarettes.
Officers went to the indicated address. On the steps of the store, police officers noticed a man matching the description provided in the report. He was quickly subdued and arrested.
While being taken to the police headquarters, the 27-year-old was aggressive and obstructed the officers as they carried out procedural activities. A drug test confirmed the officers’ suspicions – the man was under the influence of drugs, specifically amphetamine and methamphetamine.

Police determined that the Lubin resident entered the store and, when the employee recognized him as the person who had committed a theft the previous day, he began threatening to use a knife and a telescopic baton. He then demanded that she hand over cigarettes, but had no intention of paying for them.
The officers secured the knife and the telescopic baton, which the man had with him when he was arrested.
The 27-year-old was taken to a police detention facility and then brought before the prosecutor’s office, where he was charged with robbery. He faces a prison sentence of between 2 and 15 years.
