Fat Thursday is a traditional Polish holiday celebrated on the last Thursday before Lent. As tradition has it, on this day you can enjoy sweets—above all doughnuts and faworki—without feeling guilty.
This custom has a long history—it was how people celebrated the end of winter and the arrival of spring.
According to tradition, anyone who does not eat at least one doughnut on Fat Thursday will have bad luck throughout the year.
Have you eaten any yet? Which doughnuts do you like best? With filling or without? And if with filling—which one is the tastiest for you?
And the most important question: How many doughnuts will you eat today?
