The officers’ findings indicate that the man had again used violence against his close family members. The victims were the aggressor’s mother and sister.
The suspect had previously been convicted of similar offences, so he will now face charges as a repeat offender, which carries the possibility of a more severe sentence—up to 7.5 years in prison.
The police first brought the man before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, after which the 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County appeared before the court.
After reviewing the evidence, the judge applied the most severe preventive measure against the suspect: pre-trial detention.
