On 31 January 2026 , the sports hall of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec hosted the 24th Integration Christmas Wafer Gathering for People with Disabilities from Bolesławiec County – an event that for years has been part of the calendar of the region’s most important and moving social initiatives.
People with disabilities arrived at the annual gathering with their families, friends, volunteers and representatives of organizations and associations working for others. Representatives of the local authorities of municipalities, the county and the voivodeship were also among the invited guests. The Bolesławiec municipal authorities were represented by the Chairperson of the Bolesławiec City Council Łukasz Jaźwiec together with councillors.
The Christmas gathering was preceded by Holy Mass, which created an atmosphere of reflection, community and gratitude. Afterwards, the sports hall of I LO filled with conversations, smiles and kindness, creating a space for a genuine human encounter.
As always, Bolesławiec’s Christmas wafer gatherings for people with disabilities are among the events that bring people together, break down barriers and show the great value of being together. They are also an excellent opportunity to spend time with friends, exchange experiences and build relationships based on mutual respect and support.
The event was organized by Powiat Bolesławiecki in cooperation with the Stowarzyszenie Rodziców Dzieci i Młodzieży Specjalnej Troski w Bolesławcu. Special thanks were extended to the co-organizers, volunteers, as well as organizations and institutions from the city and Bolesławiec County that actively contributed to preparing the gathering.
The Integration Christmas Wafer Gathering for People with Disabilities has for years been an important part of the social life of Bolesławiec County – a symbol of openness, solidarity and sharing the Christmas atmosphere, in which every person holds an equally important place.
