The incident occurred just after Christmas, on December 27. The secretary of the Bishop of Legnica was traveling to Jelenia Góra for a church feast. He was detained by police officers in Jelenia Góra.

The bishop’s secretary was under the influence of alcohol.

– On December 27, 2025, in Jelenia Góra, a police patrol stopped a 42-year-old resident of Legnica County for a roadside check. He was driving a passenger vehicle while intoxicated. The man has already been charged. The case will be referred to the court – reports Insp. Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra

A few days ago, Bishop Andrzej Siemieniewski decided to remove the priest from his position as secretary.

– In connection with the fact that the Bishop of Legnica learned about the possibility that the secretary priest had violated regulations applicable to all drivers, he removed him from his position and the duties associated with it. Further decisions will be made after the state authorities clarify the matter – ks. Waldemar Wesołowski, spokesman for the bishop and the Legnica Diocese, informed the istotne.pl portal.

Alcohol-related antics by priests are not the only such incidents. We have learned from our informants that some so-called “good priests” drive at night from one orgy to another and are often under the influence of mephedrone (a drug whose crystals are crushed and snorted). We know of two such priests currently working in the Legnica Diocese (this does not concern the detained priest).

– The Legnica Diocese is pathology and impunity – says Artur Nowak. – The bishop does not act. Several parish priests control the diocese. Priests say that most positions are arranged through the bedroom. The new wave of priests has become heavily involved with mephedrone. The bishop acts only when some priest is arrested or when the media literally expose a parish where the parish priest lives with an escort. The old school. The carpet will cover everything, and if it stinks? Let’s pretend it smells nice – adds the author of the book “The Curia”.
