The 12th edition of the International Czech Swimming Championships, the “Korunni Cup,” was held on June 11–12 in Česká Lípa. More than 150 swimmers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Poland took part in the competition. The Bolesławiec swimmers from the Masters Swimming Club put in a successful performance. Those who stood on the top step of the podium were:
Marcin Klimkowski (400 m freestyle, 100 m breaststroke)
Henryk Kopaniecki (400 m freestyle, 100 m backstroke)
Fryderyk Popieliński (100 m backstroke and 200 m butterfly).
The following competitors took second place:
Marcin Klimkowski (50 m backstroke)
Andrzej Daszyński (400 m freestyle)
Fryderyk Popieliński (400 m freestyle)
Marta Satoła (200 m breaststroke)
Andrzej Daszyński (50 m and 200 m butterfly)
Henryk Kopaniecki (100 m breaststroke).
The following competitors finished in third place:
Andrzej Daszyński (100 m and 50 m backstroke)
Marta Satoła (100 m breaststroke)
Henryk Kopaniecki (100 m breaststroke).
The Bolesławiec Masters swimmers brought a total of 17 medals back from Česká Lípa.
