There was an incident on January 20 in Milików. Firefighters from Nowogrodziec were dispatched to a chimney fire involving soot. The firefighters:
(...) two of our units are heading out to the operation 🚒🚒. At the scene, everyone had evacuated before our arrival; we confirm a soot fire in the chimney flue 🔥.
They add:
Because of the wooden ceiling and the high chimney temperature, dismantling work began 🔨. The external temperature of the chimney next to the dry ceiling timber was over 160°C❗
The operation lasted approximately four hours. The danger was eliminated and, fortunately, no one was injured. The uniformed officers sum up: – It ended with a faulty chimney; in your case, it could be an attic fire. Have a chimney sweep inspect it and take care of your safety ☑️
