During a domestic intervention, police officers from Bolesławiec County detained a man suspected of abusing members of his family. Police: – At the time of his arrest, the perpetrator had over 2‰ of alcohol in his system.
According to findings by officers from the Police Commissariat in Kruszyn, the 43-year-old aggressor had been physically and psychologically abusing both his mother and brother for a long time. Police:
The resident of Warta Bolesławiecka municipality repeatedly started domestic arguments, insulted household members, threatened to kill them and used physical violence, causing them bodily injuries. It was established that since August, while under the influence of alcohol, he had regularly behaved aggressively toward his closest relatives.
The perpetrator was detained during the intervention, and the evidence collected clearly indicated that he needed to be isolated from the victims. At the request of the Bolesławiec prosecutor’s office, the court ordered the man’s three-month pre-trial detention.
The suspect had previously been convicted, so in this case he faces an enhanced sentence of up to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
