It is now certain. The former Tesco building will soon stop being an eyesore. The property is to be redeveloped. Once the work is completed, retail and service activities will continue there. Most likely, another retail park will be created there. The last retail and service outlets operating there have moved elsewhere for the duration of the redevelopment.
Cleanup work is already underway inside the building. Containers for construction waste have been placed in front of the property. The redevelopment will take at least several months.
What exactly will be located in this building? Which shops will open there, and will the nearby petrol station resume operations? We will find out soon. For now, it is known that the pharmacy previously operating in the property has declared its willingness to return once the redevelopment is completed.
Will there be an Action store in the former Tesco building?
Many residents of our city are asking themselves this question. The answer is: it is not known yet. In mid-December 2025, the Action chain responded to our inquiry on the matter:
(...) at this time, we have no information about the opening of a new Action branch in Bolesławiec.
The wording used by Action in its response, “at this time,” suggests that the situation may change. If the Action chain confirms in the future that it will open a branch in Bolesławiec, we will inform our readers.
