Officers from the Lubin District Police Headquarters received a report from a woman who had been attacked by a man unknown to her while she was in one of the shopping malls in the city. – As the police established, the perpetrator approached the victim and, without reason, struck her legs several times with his hands, then began kicking her before fleeing the scene. The reporting woman suffered bodily injuries lasting less than 7 days – reports junior inspector Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the Lubin District Police Headquarters.
She adds: – Even if the man had acted that way for some reason, he should have been punished. The lack of a motive, however, made the case even more outrageous.
After receiving the report of the crime, criminal investigators began searching for the aggressor.
Police secured recordings from surveillance cameras and established the attacker’s description. His image was distributed to all patrols in the city.
Several days after the incident, the 31-year-old was located and detained. He was taken to a police cell.
