The Jelenia Góra Zone Championships of Lower Secondary Schools in Beach Volleyball are now behind us. The competition was held on Thursday, June 9, at the MOSiR Water and Sports Centre. In the girls’ category, the winners were players from GS No. 3 in Bolesławiec, competing in the following lineup: Wiktoria Mienculewicz, Aleksandra Dziuba and Katarzyna Frydryk. The team’s coach is Joanna Kutryba. The team from Lubawka finished second, while the team from Pieńsk came third.
In the boys’ category, the beach volleyball players from GS No. 2 in Kamienna Góra won. Second place went to the team from GS No. 2 in Bolesławiec, which played in the following lineup: Bartosz Klimek, Piotr Kraus and Piotr Rajczakowski. The team’s coach is Tomasz Markowski. Representatives of the Social Lower Secondary School of European Education in Kamienna Góra came third.
The two best teams in each category qualified for the provincial competition. The competition was organized by the Inter-School Sports Centre, which operates within the structures of the District Centre for Education and Staff Training.
