Both teams began the match with bold attacks. A few minutes after the first half began, BKS had a chance to score. Following Pietrzak’s header, the ball struck the crossbar of the hosts’ goal. The home team responded in the 16th minute. After one of Piast’s players took a shot, the ball hit the post of Przykłota’s goal. Several times before the end of the first half, BKS had opportunities to score, but they were unable to finish their attacks successfully. Piast’s players also created several good chances, ending them with shots on target. However, the BKS goalkeeper was not caught off guard.

In the second half, the players from Bolesławiec began to play more defensively, focusing on counterattacks. This tactic produced the desired results. BKS’s first goal came about 20 minutes before the end of the match, following a successful counterattack by the Bolesławiec team. Pietkiewicz, Węgłowski and Rissmann took part in the move. The latter, after a good pass from Węgłowski, put the ball into Piast’s net from close range. Bolesławiec scored their second goal in the final minutes of the match. It was a combined move by the Jasiński brothers. Jacek Jasiński set the score at 2–0 for BKS after a precise pass from Tomasz Jasiński.

The match was played in difficult weather conditions. Heavy rain softened the pitch, while the slippery ball was difficult to stop. It turned out, however, that BKS’s players can mobilize themselves in difficult conditions and focus even more on the game. It is also encouraging that the team managed to win the match by more than a one-goal margin.
