On Saturday, January 10, in Gniewomirowice, near Legnica, a pedestrian was fatally struck.
The tragedy occurred in the evening, on national road no. 94, near a Dino store.
According to preliminary information, an elderly man was crossing at a pedestrian crossing.

The driver was a 21-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, who was detained. He was sober at the time of the incident; blood was taken from him for further testing.
The road was blocked for several hours. A prosecutor was present at the scene. The causes of the tragic incident are being determined.
