At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubań, the local court ordered the preventive measure of three months’ pre-trial detention for a 26-year-old resident of Leśna, suspected of committing another sexual act against an acquaintance and attempting rape.

The incident occurred on the night of December 23–24, 2025, in Leśna. – The perpetrator and the victim met socially. At one point, the attacker took a psychotropic substance and became very aggressive toward the woman – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.

She adds: – Using violence and exploiting his physical advantage, he began hitting the victim in the face, pulling her hair and biting her all over the body, forcing her to submit to another sexual act. He also attempted to make her engage in sexual intercourse. However, the woman managed to escape.

The man was detained by officers from the Police Station in Leśna. After being brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubań, he was charged with forcing the victim to submit to another sexual act, attempting rape, and causing injuries that impaired the functioning of her bodily organs for less than 7 days. The suspect did not admit to committing the alleged crimes. He gave an explanation.

He had not previously been convicted.

The offenses he is accused of carry a sentence of 2 to 15 years in prison.
