At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubań, the District Court in Lubań granted the motion for the temporary detention of a 26-year-old man from Leśna for a period of three months. He is suspected of committing sexually motivated crimes.
The incident took place on the night of 23–24 December 2025, when the suspect, after taking a psychotropic substance, committed another sexual act against an acquaintance and attempted to rape her.
– Using violence and taking advantage of his physical superiority, he began hitting the victim in the face, pulling her hair and biting her all over her body, forcing her to submit to another sexual act. He also attempted to force her to engage in sexual intercourse. However, the woman managed to escape – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.
The man was detained by the Police and charged with forcing the victim to submit to another sexual act, attempted rape and causing bodily injuries. The suspect did not plead guilty. He gave an explanation. He had not previously been convicted by a court. However, he faces a prison sentence of between 2 and 15 years. The court ordered pre-trial detention.
