The Biggest Failures of 2025 in Bolesławiec

We have selected several events from 2025 that will compete in the plebiscite for the Biggest Failure of 2025 in Bolesławiec. In our opinion, the favourites are:

• Drinks at the Gala of the Future of the district hospital in Bolesławiec. An event whose cost has still not been disclosed, as Jolanta Sawczak does not reveal how much it was organised for. At the event, invited guests enjoyed free drinks called “resuscitation” and “death”.
• Bogusław Nowak descending on a rope during the official opening of the Ceramics Festival. For this, he received PLN 15,000. Bogusław Nowak painted his face like a mime, dressed in white, put on wings and descended on a rope from the town hall tower. In this surprising way, he delivered a fictional key to the city gates (during the official opening of the Ceramics Festival, the president traditionally hands the keys to the city to the elder of the Ceramic Brotherhood).

There were somewhat more failures. Here is the list.

• The absence of the ceramics parade at the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival, abolished by a decision of President Piotr Roman with the consent of Jarosław Rutyna, head of the Ceramic Brotherhood
• A teacher and PR specialist from a Bolesławiec school meeting men for orgies in European capitals
• The distribution of money for sports clubs in Bolesławiec by municipal officials
• The lack of parking spaces in front of the modern water park on Spacerowa Street
• Bolesławiec Days held in October and called “Bolesławiec’s Bottom” by Bolesławiec residents
• The closure of the municipal swimming area “Leśny Potok”
