The firefighting operation at the scene caused serious traffic disruptions. Initially, the motorway towards Zgorzelec was completely blocked, while traffic on the carriageway towards Wrocław was restricted to fewer lanes. After an hour, traffic towards Legnica, Wrocław and Opole was restored. Currently, traffic towards Zgorzelec is moving in just one lane.
