The vehicles collided near the railway tracks crossing the road. Firefighters from Krzyżowa and Bolesławiec, the police, and two emergency medical teams were at the scene.
According to police findings, a 48-year-old man from Legnica County, driving a Mazda, failed to adjust his speed to the conditions. As a result, on a bend in the road he crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Nissan. The Nissan driver was taken to hospital. Further proceedings will depend on the injuries sustained by the injured driver.
