The incident occurred on Thursday, June 2, in Iwiny. At around 6:00 p.m., a group of men trespassed onto private property. An argument broke out, during which—according to one of the neighbours—two shots were fired. The police speak of one or two shots. It is not yet known what type of weapon was used.

According to a witness to the incident, the attackers had machetes and a baseball bat with them, and used them to damage one of the cars located on the property. They then stole another car, in which there were documents and nearly €12,000. The police recovered the car.

“The police patrol dispatched to the scene pursued the thieves,” says Adriana Szajwaj, a police spokesperson. “The perpetrators abandoned the car in a nearby forest, and it was recovered. The police are now determining who was responsible and the circumstances of the incident.”
