2 and 3 December 2025 saw round-the-clock concreting of the new bridge. It is a three-span prestressed-concrete structure. During the work, as much as 260 tonnes of steel and 1,250 cubic metres of special heated concrete were used. The next step will be prestressing the structure—after the steel cables are tensioned, the bridge will “rise” from its supports and be ready for further work.
In the coming months, the contractor will finish the structure—pavements, access roads and a new traffic arrangement will be built. Traffic is scheduled to be diverted from the old bridge in the middle of next year, although the pace of the work depends on the weather and the course of the winter.
The old bridge, which is in poor technical condition, will be dismantled. A second, identical bridge will be built in its place. As a result, there will be two parallel structures over the Bóbr, each with two traffic lanes, a pavement and a cycle path.
On both sides of the bridges, turbo roundabouts have been planned to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. Nearly 600 metres of national road No. 94 and the accompanying infrastructure will also be reconstructed.
