A patrol from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec stopped a 49-year-old man in the early morning hours after he decided to get behind the wheel despite two lifetime bans on driving vehicles and a decision revoking his driving privileges. The resident of Zgorzelec County was first taken to police custody, and after procedural activities were completed, officers brought him before the District Court in Bolesławiec.

The court considered the case under accelerated proceedings and found the man guilty. He was sentenced, among other things, to 6 months of unconditional imprisonment and ordered to pay PLN 5,000 to the Fund for Assistance to Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance.

Police remind drivers that disregarding court-imposed bans is a serious crime carrying severe consequences, including imprisonment.
