On 11 December 2025, an official handover ceremony for five modern, low-floor Solaris Urbino 9H electric buses took place in Bolesławiec Market Square. The buses will soon serve the residents of Bolesławiec.
It is worth recalling that exactly one year earlier, on 16 December, an agreement was signed at Bolesławiec City Hall for the implementation of the project “Zero-Emission Public Transport – Continuation of the Electrification of the Municipal Transport Fleet in the Municipality of Bolesławiec”. Today’s event marks the completion of that commitment and, at the same time, another step towards modern, environmentally friendly transport.
Thanks to the investment, the city has gained five Solaris Urbino 9H electric buses and two modern chargers. The agreement also includes a set of specialist tools necessary for servicing and warranty repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards. The project contractor is Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. The total value of the contract is PLN 13,899,000.
The new buses mean not only environmental benefits, but also the highest standard for passengers. The vehicles are equipped, among other things, with: full interior and exterior monitoring, a fire detection and extinguishing system, a hands-free device announcing stops, information displays on every side of the vehicle, an additional display for people with visual impairments, and a display showing the route, a ramp for people with disabilities, air conditioning, and USB chargers.
