The Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation against a 19-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra suspected of persistently stalking his former partner, threatening to kill her, causing bodily injuries to the victim’s brother, and possessing narcotic substances in the form of marijuana.
– It was established that the victim ended her relationship with the suspect. However, he did not want to accept it – explains Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office.
From 22 November to 5 December 2025, he persistently stalked the woman. The spokesperson: – For this purpose, he repeatedly sent the victim text messages in which he insulted her, made telephone calls at night, drove by car to the area around her place of residence, followed her and watched her. Moreover, holding a machete in his hand, he threatened to kill her and destroy the vehicle she used.
On 23 November 2025, on a street in Jelenia Góra, wanting to take revenge on the victim, he publicly and without reason assaulted her brother, kicking and punching him all over his body. The prosecutor: – As a result of these blows, the man suffered injuries causing a health disturbance lasting less than 7 days.
This conduct by the suspect caused the victim to feel tormented and threatened and seriously violated her privacy.
That was not all. During the suspect’s arrest at his apartment, police officers discovered and secured 155.77 grams of marijuana, from which 780 retail portions could have been obtained, with a total street value of PLN 31,200.
After being brought to the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office, the man was charged. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
The suspect partially admitted to committing the offences with which he was charged. He gave explanations.
At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered three months’ pre-trial detention for the teenager, who had no previous convictions.
