Fans watched an exciting match in Bolesławiec on December 6, 2025. UKS Tygrysy Strzelin started the match strongly, confidently winning the first set 25:18. However, the hosts from BTS Willowa Bolesławiec then took complete control, showing greater consistency, attacking power and better organization of play in the next three sets.
The first set went to the Tigers, who took advantage of several unforced errors by the hosts and quickly built a lead. From the second set onward, however, the match looked completely different. BTS Willowa Bolesławiec clearly improved its reception, began finishing attacks more effectively and won the next sets by increasingly convincing margins – first 25:16 and then 25:15.
The fourth set was the most evenly contested, but in the closing stages the hosts kept a cooler head and closed out the match 25:19, sealing a 3:1 victory.
The triumph strengthens BTS’s position in the league table and gives the team additional momentum ahead of its next matches. Despite the defeat, UKS Tygrysy Strzelin showed moments of very good play, particularly in the opening phase of the match.
The Most Valuable Player of the match (MVP) was Kamil Pasik.
Post-match comments
BTS Willowa Bolesławiec libero Arkadiusz Duda did not hide his satisfaction with the result after the match, although, as he admitted, the beginning was not the best:
– We are pleased that we managed to win. The first set came as a slight surprise to us; we were a little asleep. You could see that we were uneasy, but with each successive set our play looked better and better. We improved our blocking, defense and reception, and that started to produce results. Looking ahead, it really looks increasingly promising.
In turn, club vice-president, Kamil Razik, emphasized that the victory was crucial for the standings:
– This was our last match of the calendar year, although of course not of the season. The plan for today was simple: win and retain a clear first place, pulling away from Tygrysy Strzelin, with whom we are competing near the top. We achieved that. Now we are looking toward the play-offs, promotion play-offs and – I hope – promotion to the central league.
