For many shopkeepers, December is a peak period, when sales surge and every additional Sunday offers the possibility of higher turnover. On the other hand, social awareness is growing regarding the right to rest and the opportunity to spend time with loved ones.

On Christmas Eve, 24 December, retail outlets will be closed. 25 and 26 December, statutory holidays on the occasion of Christmas, also rule out the possibility of shopping.

After a short break, stores will resume operations on Saturday, only to close again on Sunday, 28 December. The following working days, from Monday to Wednesday, will make it possible to restock any potential shortages.

However, on 1 January, New Year's Day, trading will once again be suspended.

In 2025, the above information should be taken into account so as not to forget and go shopping at a closed store.
