Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a 40-year-old man while patrolling the A4 motorway. On a section where the speed limit is 80 km/h, he was driving as fast as 166 km/h, exceeding the limit by 86 km/h.

For this offence, he was given a PLN 2,500 fine and 15 penalty points.
However, this was not the only offence the man committed on the Lower Silesian section of the A4. The officers said: – After overtaking several more vehicles, the man failed to maintain a safe distance from the car travelling in front of him, keeping an extremely short gap.

In fading light and below-freezing temperatures, such driving significantly increases the risk of a serious incident – in the event of sudden braking, the driver would have had no chance to react.
The result? For this offence, the reckless driver received another PLN 500 fine and 5 penalty points.
