The incident occurred on Wednesday (26 November 2025) before noon, when a traffic patrol of the Lwówek police, serving in the area of Lwówek Śląski, noticed a moped travelling along one of the streets. During the check, it turned out that its rider, a 16-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, did not have the required licence to operate this type of vehicle.

Due to the offence committed, the officers prevented him from continuing to ride the moped, which was then handed over to the teenager’s legal guardian. The police also prepared the relevant documentation, which will be submitted to the Family and Juvenile Court. That court will decide on the further consequences for the young rider.

The police remind the public that operating a vehicle without the required licence is a serious offence that may result in legal consequences and poses a real threat to road safety. The officers appeal to parents and guardians to monitor how minors spend their time and to talk to them about responsible and lawful participation in road traffic.
