The incident took place on November 12 this year. – While carrying out activities on the road toward Legnica, officers from Złotoryja noticed a passenger car whose driver decided to perform very dangerous manoeuvres – reports Senior Sergeant Łukasz Porębski from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The man overtook other vehicles in a built-up area on a double solid line. To make matters worse, he carried out another dangerous manoeuvre at a pedestrian crossing.

And he adds:

The driver’s behaviour clearly posed a serious threat not only to himself, but above all to other road users.

Seeing the driver’s behaviour, the police officers reacted immediately and stopped him for a traffic check.

The result? The spokesperson says: – For the offences committed, the 46-year-old received a PLN 2,500 fine and 25 penalty points, which resulted in the loss of his driving licence. The driver will therefore have to apply for his driving entitlement again.

Under the applicable regulations, a vehicle driver is required to drive at a speed that ensures control of the vehicle, taking into account the conditions in which traffic is taking place, and in particular: the terrain, the condition and visibility of the road, the condition and load of the vehicle, weather conditions and traffic intensity.

Every driver should also take into account other factors, such as driving skills and experience, stress, fatigue and medicines taken.
