On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., the "White March" is scheduled to begin at the church on Orzeszkowej Street. Shortly afterward, at 9:00 p.m., candles are planned to be placed along Jana Pawła II Street. At the same time, at 9:30 p.m. in the Market Square, scouts want to create a farewell circle in which everyone willing will be able to hold hands.
Friday's special Mass will begin at 7:00 p.m. beneath the Millennium Cross. Organizers encourage people to bring candles with them. They also ask people not to travel by car and to use public transport instead. On that day, however, city buses will not set out on their routes until 2:00 p.m. and will run according to the Saturday timetable until the end of the day.
From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the following streets will be closed to traffic: Lubańska (from Meissnera Street), Willowa (from Obrońców Westerplatte Street), Komuny Paryskiej (up to the intersection with Jeleniogórska Street) and Garncarska (from Lubańska Street).
After the Mass, special buses will be stationed near the Millennium Cross and will run in the following directions:
- Osiedle Kwiatowe-Dobra (stops on: Zgorzelecka, Widok, Osiedle Kwiatowe and Dobra streets)
- Graniczna Street (stops on: K. Miarki, Żwirki i Wigury, Chrobrego, Sądowa, Staszica and Graniczna streets)
- Kruszyn (stops on: Wojska Polskiego, Łasicka, Spółdzielcza, Tysiąclecia and Kruszyn streets).
The buses will transport people free of charge that evening.
