Bolesławiec is investing intensively in the development of road and transport infrastructure. Work is under way on the construction of three strategic roads as part of funding from the Polish Deal Government Fund, worth PLN 8,000,000: Generała Tadeusza Rozwadowskiego Street, Generała Józefa Hallera Street and Sokola Street. These investments are intended to improve connections to residential and service areas.
The construction of the road at Generała Tadeusza Rozwadowskiego Street includes a 297-metre section of road 5.0 m wide and a 207-metre internal road with a bituminous surface. The project also includes a 3.0-metre-wide pedestrian and cycle path, a retention tank, a stormwater drainage network and modern LED lighting. Two new bridges are also planned along national road no. 94, which will significantly improve the city’s traffic capacity.
As part of the county-road modernization programme, work worth PLN 3,882,728 has already been completed, including the modernization of 4 km of roads in Parowa, Ławszowa, Kraszowice and Wartowice. Public transport will be strengthened through the purchase of zero-emission electric buses.
