Agnieszka Jurewicz from the Media Relations Department of the Communications Office
of Polskie Koleje Państwowe S.A.:
We would like to inform you that the flag was placed on the flagpole correctly. When it was hoisted, it was at the highest point of the flagpole. Strong winds caused it to change position. The flag was taken down yesterday.
Let us recall. On November 10, we wrote:
The red-and-white flag at the PKP railway station in Bolesławiec had been lowered to half-mast. Such a gesture is usually associated with the announcement of national mourning or some local tragedy. However, no mourning had been announced either in Bolesławiec or in Bolesławiec County.
Some people suspected that it was a technical error or employee oversight. We asked the company's press office about the matter. We said we would publish the response as soon as we received it.
