At the request of the District Prosecutor in Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec District Court ordered preventive detention for three months for a 48-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. – The man is suspected of abusing his minor son and persistently harassing his former wife and children – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.
The investigation established that the perpetrator had scheduled visitation dates with his 9-year-old son. The spokesperson:
While spending time with the child, he physically and psychologically abused him. He beat him with his hand and a belt on the abdomen, chest and other parts of his body. He called the boy offensive names, shouted at the child for no reason and humiliated him. These incidents occurred from December 2024 to 13 July 2025.
Witness and victim statements also indicate that from 8 August 2025 to 17 October 2025, the man persistently harassed his former wife and their two minor children. The prosecutor: – He came to the building where the victims lived, rang the intercom, hurled vulgar abuse at them outside the building, repeatedly struck the apartment’s entrance door with his hand and pulled at the handle.
On 29 August 2025, he blocked the exhaust pipe of a car used by his wife with construction foam, preventing the vehicle from starting. He harassed his minor daughter at school.
On 26 September 2025, he forcibly broke into the apartment where his family was staying and, ignoring his wife’s demands that he leave the premises, grabbed her by the arm and shoulder and then forcefully pulled her, causing bodily injuries that resulted in a health disorder lasting more than seven days.
The investigators: – The perpetrator’s conduct gave the victims a justified sense of danger and torment and seriously violated their privacy.
The man was charged with abusing a minor child who, due to his age, was unable to fend for himself, and with persistently harassing members of his family, including violating their domestic peace. He faces a sentence of between six months and eight years in prison.
The suspect did not plead guilty to the alleged acts. He gave an explanation.
He had previously been convicted by a court.
