The reconstruction covers two sections of the street. The first—277 metres long—runs from the intersection with S. Okrzei Street to the intersection with S. Żeromskiego Street. The second section, 118.5 metres long, runs from the intersection with S. Żeromskiego Street to the intersection with Artyleryjska Street.
The scope of the works is extensive and includes, among other things: preparing an improved subbase, constructing the road and pavement foundations, installing new kerbs, laying a new wearing course, building pavements from concrete paving blocks, covering green areas with topsoil and sowing them, adjusting utility installations, and installing vertical and horizontal road markings.
The reconstruction of Maria Konopnicka Street is scheduled for completion in mid-December this year. The contractor for the project is JAGIELSKI from Bolesławice near Bolesławiec. The cost of the project is PLN 1,324,710. The funds come from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
