The 70th anniversary of the founding of BKS Bolesławiec, commemorated this year, provided an opportunity to organize a veterans’ match between BKS Bolesławiec and Zagłębie Lubin.
Before the match began, the current board of Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy honored footballers and coaches associated with the Bolesławiec club and presented them with gifts and commemorative items.
After the ceremony, players wearing the colors of BKS and Zagłębie took to the pitch. The exceptional veterans’ match began.
Many well-known football names arrived in Bolesławiec on Friday evening. Footballers and coaches associated with BKS and Zagłębie Lubin accepted the invitation and came to Spółdzielcza.
BKS Bolesławiec defeated Zagłębie Lubin 6–2.
Among others, visitors to the Bolesławiec stadium could see Mariusz Ujek, Chrystian Serkies, Radosław Pietkiewicz, Romuald Kujawa, Janusz Kubot and Zbigniew Mandziejewicz.
The fans also turned out. Despite the cold—the air temperature was 8 degrees—the covered stand at the Bolesławiec stadium was almost completely full.
Let us recall that a similar event took place in August. At that time, at Spółdzielcza, the veterans of BKS Bolesławiec and CKS Czeladź faced each other.
