The incident took place on May 11 (at approximately 5:45 p.m.) in Rakowice Wielkie (Lwówek County). The 23-year-old man delivered fertilizer by truck to one of the fields there. According to the investigators’ preliminary findings, the vehicle’s tailgate caught on high-voltage power lines. The resident of Warta Bolesławiecka was electrocuted. He died at the scene.
The prosecutor’s office and police in Lwówek Śląski are investigating the causes of the tragedy.
