A comment appeared beneath the description of the incident on the OSP Gromadka website, in which someone following the page wondered why firefighters had been called to a building that should have been demolished long ago—and by its owner.
What task did the firefighters face? The building could have collapsed onto the road, blocking it or making it difficult to pass, and in the worst-case scenario, the unstable structure could have damaged a vehicle or injured a person passing by the building.
The firefighters secured the scene and assessed the stability of the structure as well as the danger. Presumably, the search for the owner or site manager to determine who should take care of demolishing the ruin took place after the area had been secured.
