On 18 September, at readers’ request, we published an article: A black dog is terrorising half the city. We are looking for the aggressor’s owner.
On 17 September (sic!), we sent an inquiry to the Municipal Police asking whether they had received a report about an aggressive dog. After several days, we received a reply that such a report had indeed been received. And that was all. Apparently, the black dog is smarter than the municipal officers and they were unable to catch it.
We received the response sent to the Municipal Police on 3 October. The commander needed 16 days to write back to us that she knew about the mauled animals. If this reflects the amount of effort put into finding the irresponsible owner of a dog that poses a threat to other animals, then we can understand why the Municipal Police are unable to determine anything.
In response to the inquiry dated 17 September 2025, the Bolesławiec Municipal Police informs us that on 17 September 2025 it received a report concerning a dog running loose that had bitten a dog on Królowej Jadwigi Street and in the municipal park area on Głowackiego Street.
Yours sincerely, Kamila Chalewicz – Pudłowska, Commander of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police
