On Wednesday afternoon, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec, local side BKS hosted Chrobry Nowogrodziec. The players coached by Radosław Szajwaj started the match better. The hosts led 2:0 at half-time. Both goals were scored by Yan Max.
After the break, Chrobry set about making up the deficit. The visitors increasingly often appeared in front of the BKS goal, until Chrobry’s player-coach – Kacper Hałdaś – once again proved an effective set-piece taker, as his free-kick found its way into the hosts’ net. The goal that reduced the deficit further motivated the visitors to fight.
BKS, meanwhile, fell back to defend, waiting for the visitors’ mistakes and opportunities to counterattack. Both sides had chances to score. It is worth noting that right at the end of the match, the visitors had an excellent opportunity to equalise, but they could not find the net from a few metres out. BKS held on to the 2:1 scoreline until the final whistle and advanced to the fourth round of the cup competition.
