The incident occurred on September 22 in Legnica. Assistant Inspector Tomasz Górka, Deputy Head of the Patrol and Intervention Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, was driving along Sikorskiego Street after finishing his shift when, to his great surprise, he noticed a vehicle approaching him head-on… on the wrong side of the road.

The woman driving the car was travelling against traffic, creating a real and serious danger both to herself and to other road users.

The police officer reacted immediately, stopped the driver and ensured that a tragedy did not occur. He notified the duty officer about the incident and called a traffic patrol to the scene. The officers who arrived for the intervention confirmed the offence and fined the woman.

The officer’s decisive response brought the dangerous situation to an end and highlighted the importance of responsibility among all road users. A single moment of inattention or recklessness can lead to a serious road incident.
