During the renovation of a section of national road no. 94 in Bolesławiec (the city bypass), the horizontal road markings on the carriageways were repainted. The reader’s attention was drawn to the solid lines at the intersection of Staszica Street and the bypass (Wróblewskiego Street – DK 94). At the intersection itself, the lines (for drivers approaching from Staszica Street) were painted in an arc shape. The reader asks what this is about. It was probably intended to improve traffic flow at the intersection... What do you think?
We asked the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for comment on the matter. Here is the response from Magdalena Szumiaty, press spokesperson for the Wrocław branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways:
The work on site has been completed and there are no longer any disruptions, but we are still in the process of accepting the works related to the renovation of the DK94 surface. The measurement checks and inspection of all the works are underway.
If any irregularities are found, the contractor will be required to make corrections. However, I will only be able to provide detailed information after the work of the acceptance committee has been completed.
