Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a vehicle for inspection that was being driven by a 49-year-old man. Police: – The man was travelling through a built-up area in Bolesławiec Municipality, where the speed limit is 40 km/h, at a considerably higher speed. A speed measurement showed 100 km/h, meaning that he had exceeded the permitted speed by 60 km/h.
The outcome? The resident of Lwówek County lost his driving licence for three months and was fined 1,500 złoty and given 13 penalty points. Bolesławiec officers:
We appeal to drivers to “take their foot off the accelerator”. Weather, especially during transitional periods, can be highly variable, and bright sunshine does not always mean a dry road surface. Therefore, speed limits must be observed at all times, and speed must be adjusted to the prevailing conditions. Driving too fast means not only the risk of losing one’s driving licence, but also a serious threat to the safety of all road users.
