Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław and police officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych carried out a joint operation targeting illegal gambling. They inspected two gaming venues in Wałbrzych.
During the operation, the services seized:
- 8 illegal gaming machines,
- cash amounting to PLN 10,000 originating from illegal gambling machines,
- documents and evidence indicating that illegal activity was being conducted.
– Officers of the Customs and Tax Service conducted procedural experiments that confirmed the gambling nature of the seized machines – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, press spokesperson for Lower Silesian KAS. – Four people were questioned in the case.
She adds:
Under the Gambling Act, organizing games on machines outside casinos is prohibited. Illegal organization of gambling carries severe financial penalties and a prison sentence of up to three years.
