On Thursday, 21 April, a campaign entitled “World Earth Day – Nature Day” was held in Osiecznica. During the campaign, the Youth Fire Brigade operating at the local Volunteer Fire Department cleaned up the geological trail along the Kwisa River. The MDP assumed patronage of the area, and its members became Guardians of Nature (they received a symbolic key from Irena Słonecka, the organizer of the initiative). Moreover, on that day, Tomasz Wilk from the Bolesławiec Forest District gave a talk on environmental protection.
The following actively contributed to organizing the campaign: Irena Słonecka and Renata Durda-Tyszkiewicz from the Osiecznica Municipal Office, Aneta and Wojciech Myszakowscy (the Gościniec guesthouse in Kliczków), Zamek Kliczków, Bolesławiec County Councilor Jan Kozak, Osiecznica Municipal Councilors Damian Tomiak and Marek Domrzalski, the Municipal Housing and Utilities Management Establishment in Osiecznica, Krzysztof Szustka from the “Zielona Akcja” Ecological Foundation, the Węgliniec Forest District, Janusz Wilk, Janusz Ptak from Ławszowa, and Grupa Odnowy Wsi Kliczków.
